Performance & Accompaniment

Experience Beyond the Teaching Studio

Karina's experience as a pianist and accompanist brings practical performance knowledge into her work with students.

Piano Performance

With approximately 30 years of performance experience, Karina brings a broad background in live piano performance and musical presentation to Concert Piano Studio.

Professional Accompaniment

Karina's accompanist work includes student Solo/Ensemble competitions, instrumentalists, vocalists, choirs, productions for Kitsap Opera and North Kitsap Children's Theatre, and other collaborative performance settings.

Student Performance Preparation

Helping Students Prepare to Perform With an Accompanist

Student music competitions and Solo/Ensemble performances are an important part of Karina's accompanist work.

Preparing with an accompanist before the event gives students an opportunity to work through tempo, entrances, phrasing, dynamics, interpretation, transitions, and the experience of performing their part together with the piano.

When regular travel to the studio is difficult, preparation can begin remotely before meeting in person for rehearsals or the competition.

Competition Preparation

  • Solo/Ensemble competitions
  • Student auditions
  • Recitals and performances
  • In-person rehearsals
  • Remote preparation when practical
